Just got through making these for a friend. A 250 year old oak in his fathers yard had to be cut down due to insect infestation and he asked me to make these to give to his mom and dad.
They're just ordinary pens but I thought that a 250 year old tree deserved some respect and what better place to get some than right here at IAP. This is definitely the oldest wood I have worked with and I felt honored to make them.

It's a shame to see old trees wither, but when someone takes care and makes something nice from them they last alot longer.
You did a great job, I have a very old Oak in my front yard that's going to have to come down before it rearanges my front porch and roof,[:(] I plan on giving as much away as people will use for something other than fire wood
