A friend of mine here in Aus came around the other day to stabilize some Buckeye Burl blanks he got from your side of the world and a few of them got left behind

I am limitted in stabilizing products over here in Australia, so I've been using Epoxy Wood Preserver (a water thin 2 part epoxy). Left them for 2 weeks and it seemed to have set, certainly provided plenty of curlies during drilling and turning, but the smell was still very strong. The blanks kept looking at me, so I couldn't resist turning them . I love this timber due to its variability and features, and these blanks didn't dissappoint

Black Ti Churchill kits with CA finish. Unfortunately after I had assembled them, I noticed I previously took one of the Blk Ti rings from the cap joiner to fix another kit, but I don't have another to replace it. I'll have to go back to my supplier to get some more

Cheers
