From what I can see from the photo, looks like the twist holder is the wrong plating?

Isn't there supposed to be another trim ring on the lower barrel where it meets the center band section?
Nice pen in spite of that. You should be able to disassemble and add it back on, if that's the mistake.

Correct , The plating on the twist holder is chromed black not satin copper. I have no idea how it had gotten into the package or how I made that mistake. I actually didn't notice it until after the pen was complete. The copper piece was there too , so I really must have been sleeping.[:0]
