Hi all, I haven't turned much for a while, saw a demo a couple of months ago and decided to try my first bowl, it's spalted Ambrosia Maple finished in sanding sealer and friction polish. What can I use for a food friendly finish.
Today I decided to try a pen again, I dug out an Oxford kit I have had for a while and some Red Malee Burl, I wasn't sure of the kit but I am happy with the results. Let me know what you think, good, bad or indifferent.

I use General Finishes salad bowl oil on most of my salad bowels. You will find most finishes are food safe after a 30 curing or when cured. See can instructions for that.

Great work

Really beautiful pieces. As far as food safe finishes go, tung oil is safe and has a great finish on it. If you thin it with mineral spirits it will coat it better as well.
