Spalted cottonwood, Black Ebony, sanded to 600, BLO/CA, polished to 12K mm and polish. Hope he likes it!

It is a very nice pen. It is solid and as long as you don`t mound the cap on the tail, (real heavy) it feels real good.

Yes, it has an nice "hefty" feel to it and the components are solid (at least the ones that show). It really turned out nice and is impressive looking.
