My latest. First, waves, ebonized walnut and aluminum, curves laid out and "Etched" with CNC for pattern then slots cut with scroll saw, aluminum inserted and filled with thin CA. Left about 1/16 on the side to keep all in alignment.

Second, Ovals 1, again pattern "etched" with CNC and curves cut with scrollsaw with about 1/16 left for alignment.

Third Ovals 2, slots cut same way but now cut from two sides 90 deg from each other, cut one set, glue, cut second set and glue.

If you don't leave a small "Skin" to keep the pieces together, it is impossible to keep everything in alignment. These are my prototypes, next I'll use real ebony or blackwood.

It's amazing what can be done with a little vision and a CNC. Really great work, imagine what you're next pen will look like

Martin, I just love them and can't wait until we have some for members, as always your work is first class.
