Hello All
Here is my first pen using Osage Orange Cigar. The Blank came from NittanyLion thanks Steve. I'm sure I'll do some other pen in this wood it turns and finishes really nice. I also need to say that ejjinkes inspired me to look in to using Osage Orange with the pencil he did. I'm going to have to order some more kits as I only have one left. 20 slimline, 10 cigar kits and 2 Wall Street II sure did not last long. Any and all comments are welcome.

Cool. You'll use plenty of kits! The Trimline is a good in between size too.

I have some Osage I should do a pen with.

There are lots of ways to shape a cigar pen.

I like to keep mine a bit thicker but we all have our preferences.

Nice pen Dan. I made one for a friend of mine. Viet Nam 1st Cav. vet. Put the 1st Cav decal on it. He showed it to me with questions about why it turned brown? I had no answer. I guess it's the nature of the wood. But, it's a pretty yellow for awhile. FWIW

Nice work as usual Dan,
Looks like Osage Orange is becoming flavour of the Month.
What has happened to all those Pens?
Have you taken over the Guest Room to display them? , or
Have you found worthy homes for them?
It is a great addiction, isn't it?
Brian

Thanks so muchn for the comments. Brian about 16 were given as gift some were sold and a few are at our house and will be finding new homes soon. It's such a good feeling to see the smile on someone's face when you give them a fine writing instrument.
