Dyed orange Figured Box Elder with a Black Titanium Cigar. This wood from BB is very nice.

I forgot to add. I am in the process of dying some Spalted Maple. Will let you know how that works out.

Yes, very nice, indeed....love the shape of the pen as well as the wood. The bellied look is nice and safe, but the streamlined look is better if done right like this.

Thanks guys. I have been leaning more toward the slim lower barrel lately as opposed to the swallowing snake look. I guess this is due to quite a few of my customers requesting it. (Did you know they are always right?)

Griz, You are going to love turning this wood. Very nice. Quite an odd smell that I think might have been from the dye / stabliziation process. I have one more blank left, and will likely get a few more. Sounds like you have your hands full with the lucky 13 cigars. Post em up when your done.
