of oops!
I didn't add anything to hide a mistake I had to take it out.
Kind of reminded me of a sparkplug so I used a shop towel for a back drop.
Bullet shell, antler, burned"rings"(accents)

What do you mean by finish?
As in "complete"?
or Protective coating?
It was the latter where I had the mistake.

Nice, archetypal and primordial! The material has been polished to an outstanding transparency beyond the wildest dreams! An eclectic masterpiece!

The clip keeps it in your pocket don'tcha know!
If you'll notice hte beading on hte top of the pen is a tad smaller than the bobeading on the bottom shel.
I had to turn of some of the brass to get that clip to fit.
The clip stays.
Buy it and you can do whatever you want with it.
BTW the clip wasn't the mistake.
See if you can figure out what it was.
Or what the "fix" is.

Greg-
I assure you with all the measuring turning off the lathe, test fitting both ends,Reassembling the mandrel ETC...
The direction of the spent bullets were by design.

No offesnse taken. What had happened was the casing was a tad off center,
While "skewing" of some CA I also"skewed" off some of the brass on one side of the center.
I finished skewing off the brass on theat side and tried to do the other side to match.
That expkains the narrow stripes of antle and narrow sections of casing.
It was an unoops ring.

Tom I knew you had an eye for detail.
Precisely why I chose that clip.

Pens without clips are rare, but some manufacturers offer them, usually as a purse pen. Without the clip, Eagle's pen would probably be part of a desk set (and would be a very nice desk set).
