Open House/Pen Show Results

I posted a while back in the Marketing forum about an open house/pen show that I was thinking of having at the end of November. Well I did manage to get it going and it was a great success. We had about 50 people RSVP and, of course, some didn't show, and some showed up without contacting us, which is pretty much par for the course. My wife entertained while I had tables setup in the attached garage and presented my work to our friends and acquaintances. I never moved from the garage (Studio G) for five hours and absolutely wore myself out talking about and demo'ing the pens.

I ended up selling about 22 pens, some from on hand stock and some special orders. Enough to pay the huge food and wine bill my wife rang up (next time I need to restrain her a little) as well as have enough left over to buy myself a new Metal Lathe (which was my goal with the whole thing).

Since then I have been busy making the special orders and adding some pens back into my inventory. Since I haven't posted in a while and now that I have some fresh photos, I thought I would post some pics before I get busy learning how to make custom pens. C&Cs always welcome.

Thanks Rink. Most of the Cebloplast came from Exotic Blanks. The Tortoise Shell came from a vendor on Ebay.
