Here is my 3rd attempt at kitless pens. I managed to get all the threads in the right place and everything seats really well. The shape was dictated by the guy who got too aggressive and knocked a big chip out of the plank. It took turning down that far to remove it. I tried a gold and a gilded nib, I think I like the gilded better. The biggest mistake I made was cracking the cap. Gotta remake that part:rolleyes: It will have to wait a few days. Comments and Critiques are welcome and encouraged. thanks for looking.

I have been writing with this all evening. It may not be the prettiest shaped pen, but sure does hold well and writes a fine line. Cant say much for the cap. Still need replaced.

Oh I was getting ready to finish it and wanted to turn it down just a tad more as I thought the cap was a bit bigger than I wanted. So I slid my live center up to it in the tail stock and tightened it just a wee bit much. Operator error all the way.

I don't think there's anything wrong with the shape except that it wasn't what you intended. Someone said there are no mistakes, just design oppurtunities:wink:

I think the shape is awesome. Shame about the crack in the cap - but that happens with PR much more easily than with acrylics.
I think I'm going to make a pen with this shape. :)

I hope to remake the cap over the next few days. My product tester(wife) says that this shape is perfect for a ladies hand. It fits into the curve of her hand and thus makes this pen her very own. She declared that if I move the curve back about 1/2 inch it will fit my hand perfect. Said that she thought I could measure and make a custome fit for any customer.

The pen pillow is easy to make and its from the left over piece I had. A nice little customized add on.
