Here is one done early in my pen making where I messed up the top when squaring the ends so I had to either throw everything away or try and fix it. I decided to use aspen for the top. I like the fix so much that I think I will keep making it that way. Although I must admit making the mini designer pen is not my favorite activity.

Richard; Nice pen.

When making Dymondwood (et al) pens I try to use a sanding jig rather than a pen mill. The laminations just tend to split out easily. After squaring, I also dip the ends in thin CA to seal any potential cracks.
