From Oooooops!!!!! comes an Easter egg

I got a double dyed buck eye burl with the plan of doing the whole pen in it........ya right! The burl blew out on me and I was left with a really nice looking cap. I decided to laminate a piece of the spalted birch I harvested into it and hope for the best........I think it's one of my better pens! Actually kinda glad it ended up this way, too much bling for me but some one will love it enough to take it home I am sure.

Beautiful job there Rick, all things work out for the best. I think that piece of Spalted birch "MADE" the burl blow up.

It's funny how the "OOOPS Pens" seem to be our favorites. I know my 1st successful save is one one of my favorites. Good work.
