As some of you know, I temporarily lost my right eye in Jan trying to split some wood (doing good btw and should have my new lens installed in april). This pen was made from the wood I was cutting when the accident happened and I decided to make the Dr something to say thanks for taking such good care of me. Once it was finished I decided to enter the contests and since I had passed the deadline for beginners, I tried the intermediate and unfortunatley, there were too many beautiful pens entered. The wood is spalted White Oak on a TN Cigar Pen kit... 8 coats of CA, sanded to 12000 and Ren wax to finish it off. Im very happy with the results and Im sure the Doc will be as well.... not too shabby for a one eyed novice, lol

I like it David, but you should rotate it and re-shoot, show the viewers the natural eye in the wood grain. Robbie
