One from today - PSI Apex

Getting ready for a couple of shows in a month or so and I made this guy/gal today. I made one of these as a request for my wife a while back and she said despite its heft and awkward (?) appearance it was remarkably comfortable to use. I've sold a number of them and thought this one turned out pretty good

As noted, it's a PSI Apex - in gun metal. The blank was an old double dyed box elder that I got from CSUSA (I think). Finish is CA. 8 or 10 coats of thin. Wet sanded to 2000, then Novus 3 and 2, then the Beall wheels to finish up.

Nice pen, cool blank. I thought it was acrylic until you said it was DD Box Elder. So nice finish too.

I like the APEX as well. I really like them because of the matching clicker, I think it looks real classy. I just need to practice on my transitions between bushing of different sizes.

That box elder is Bangin' though. Like mentioned above i thought it was acrylic at first. Great job!!
