This just popped into my head today. I hope it's not old hat. I make stands for my scopes ,so why not make it one piece. uses reg kit but reverse into wood piece
I hope I posted this thing right and in the right place

It's definitely NOT "old hat". Very interesting look and a great piece of wood.

Questions: Isn't it awfully dark? Did you keep the object chamber fairly empty so light could get to the mirrors?

Yes, it has plenty of light. I used a Fostner bit and drilled it out till the side are thin. Drilled almost down to the place where the lens fit
