so this is the beginning of this years first christmas order, my friend gave me a price point and free reign on the kits and styles. which i think will be a lot of fun. i have 5 to make in all. at least i have one so far.
the first is an acrylic on sierra click, when i got it turned down i found a hair line crack in the blank. i think it was in the blank already because i turned to it. i decided to finish it anyways. i can always use another pen,
the next was an elm burl (left over piece) on a gunmetal sierra. a small peice of burl came loose on the inside while drilling and got filled with ca. the pen looks fantastic but has the very small flaw, of course unsellable in my eyes. i hate being a perfectionist. i'll let the customer make the call on that one.
the third was a home run for sure. acrylic on a baron rollerball.
