Michael,
It looks great! You can see improvements in the fit over some of the ones we saw last weekend. And despite what you said in your photo album, the grain lines up fairly well; I think the "figure 8" shape gives it a neat look, too.

Congrats!

I like working with the Bocote (I'm forcing myself to spell it correctly!). The only "concern" I have it trying to fill up the pores. This one looks fairly good, not too many open pores. I used the cellulose sealer, then the Master's finish. It is certainly better than no sealer. I would actually compare it to the deft finish on the other pen.

Remind me where I get the TSW? I'd like to work with it too!

Thanks!

Getting better Mike.. really coming along...
My club did a turnathon for FPP at the LaVale MD mall... we spent 4 nights prepping blanks and then turned all day Saturday... we were able to send 400 pens to the project.. we had 8 lathes running and 3 assembly tables fully manned all day...

That sounds like fun, Griz. Lou is trying to arrange a turn-a-thon with the local WoodCraft store (I think ;^). I hope to get in on one of these.

Thanks for the link, Lou!
