Only the 5th pen I've made and the 1st time I've tried working with olivewood before and I was pleasantly surprised with how easy it was to get good and smooth. It had a gorgeous knot on the bottom that I had to fill with some CA and wood shavings and I really like how it turned out.

My wife and I are giving this pen to our pastor for Christmas :)

The bais cut of the timber shows off the grain nicely! And I think you made the right choice showing off the knot....let's everyone know it's really wood there!!
