It's a left over piece of floating floor laminate- weathered barn wood.

Not all agree, but the Baron kit continues to be one of my favorites. You did the kit proud - lovely, tasteful pen. Good for you.

Very nice pen Cody. I also have some of the same stock from George. Mine is very dense/hard, but has some nice muted figure, and some inclusions. Saving most for bird house ornaments.

I wasn't able to locate "black chrome" kits (other than the sirocco from Beaufort), so thanks a bunch for posting! Nice combination and fit on your pen!

I haven't seen one of those finished blanks for quite some time, it never gets old, though. Beautiful work.

I really like the satin finish. Did you put a finish on it or is that natural?
