Here a pen made from a sample of the Bakelite I found a guy willing to sell. This is org. 1930-1950 stuff. Turned and drilled

Nice looking, probably could see the blank better without all that flash.

What ever came of the stash you were coming into? I read your post with lots of interest but no follow up. Just curious.

That's about the right price for the vintage stuff, Reb. That makes a 5" blank about $17.50. We've certainly seen blank prices higher than that on this forum. BTW, the stuff is in great demand for prayer beads, so you are competing with makers of religious paraphenalia.

That doesn't seem that much if your go for a high price kit. I just wouldn't put it on a $1.50 slimline with cheap plating :)

The link I listed avgerages $2.78 an inch, but you have to buy all six rods for $250.00.
