Here was an experiment with inlays that I did and turned at the AZ turning event this weekend.

Picturs didn't turn out like I had hoped but I only have a 1.3 megapixl camera at the moment. Let me know what you think. Also thanks Kevin (dubdrvrkev) for a lesson on CA finishing.

Having seen the pen, I'll agree that it does look better in person. Not that the pics are bad or anything just don't have the same effect. It really is a very nice pen.
You're welcome, but that was only a mini demonstration, not my best work. Had too many things going on at once. I might be able to throw a few other excuses in too [;)]

Looks pretty good! Hope my first lamination comes out as nice. About the clip, did you put the extra bends into it or did it come that way?

Having seen the real deal. It is a very nice pen with the inlay and shades of color in the wood. Just need to post the pic in a larger format.
