Funny that both Ed and I were working on a Chittum at the same time.

So without further ado

A Chittum Burl on a Black Ti Jr. Emperor (both firsts)
A Cocobolo Burl (From Bill Sampson via Albert) on a Black Ti Jr. Statesman
And a Irish Bog Oak on a Black Ti Statesman (another first) The last pic is a size comparison, the client wanted a much larger pen than the Baron I sold him last year.

All look nice. The finish on the Cocobolo looks really great. As far as the Irish Bog Oak goes....I gotta get some of that!!

NICE pens, Mike!!

Particularly like your Bog Oak, still looks like wood!!!
(not a CA finish) -That is MY preference, as well.

Ed, Everything but the Baron has a Lacquer finish on it. I love it as I can build the thickness as much or as little as I want and it makes me feel good when applying unlike CA which makes my eyes burn.

When I cut my Chittum, this was the plainest looking piece and has a lovely curl that the pic shows a little of. The other pieces all showed some eyes, but I wanted to try this piece first in case I messed it up.

Mike that is a nice line up of pens. I like chittum burl, but that cocobolo burl is a beauty. I also like the look of the black titanium on the chittum.
I may have to try that.
