The wood is-----English Brown Oak Burl----I bought the only block of this I have ever seen last year. The wood has so many inclusions that it almost looks like a sponge. It pulls itself apart as it drys.
Last week I bought some real Turquoise chips with this pen in mind.
Before this I just used good ole coffee grounds which worked great but added nothing to the pen---just a good filler.
Thanks for looking.

I think it looks great, really stands out from the crowd.[:D]
You said that the turquoise is chips, does this mean you have to crush it to make it fine enough to fill the small gaps or are the chips really small?

Thanks everyone for the kind words----Skiprat----I would call it crushed but the guy I bought it from calls it very fine chips---I have no ideal what the difference is. I know he is very proud of the stuff ----he sells it by the gram.
Heck --I had to shut the fan off just to use it[:D]
