Straight from the 1930's----Nutmeg & Custard bakelite
This stuff can be to much fun to work with but I like the results.:)
Kits are from Anthony----Elegant Beauty---Black Ti.

Gary, please take another photo of these. I have the distinct feeling that those blanks are much better looking than this photo shows. Lucky dog to get to work with these blanks!!

Which one is nutmeg and which one is custard? ;>) I like them both. How do you finish Bakelite?

You finish Bakelite just about the same as PR----I do take extra time running the MM to make sure that there is not so much as a single scratch. Last step is a Micro beading buffing compound ( Good auto wax) to really pull the shine out.
Cav---I just got lucky finding these----most of the stuff that around for sale is not OLD---there are a couple of companies that are pouring Bakelite---one is in China---I think that's most of what you see on Flea-bay. The color is very different between old and new.
There's one that I would like to find---called ---Mississippi Mud---nice stuff.
