Noveau Sceptre Ballpoint

Gun Metal Noveau Sceptre Ballpoint with Spalted Hackberry. I have had a number of people express a like for the design. I would like them to clean up some of the parts as you will see in the third picture. The space between the chrome and the gold is to much. Nice design but for the price not well made. Maybe as they go along they will improve it.

I don't notice the gap so much in the assembled pen. Did it close up when you pressed the parts together?

I like the RB & FP Sceptres, haven't decided if I like the ballpoint or not though. I'm sure it'll grow on me as I see more of them.

I was wondering maybe the part just wasn't pressed together all the way also, as I don't see it in the assembled unit either.

Very nice pen. Very classy. Looks rich. No gap in it from Florida. Pressed that gap away.

All those nice curves,and a sharp 90 on the nib end.Would be nice with a chamfer there.

The reason you didn't see a gap on the pen - I took a part from another kit. When I took the coupling apart there was a small piece on the gold ring. With it removed I believe the coupling will press together. I guess it was just my time to have a couple of bad parts. The other kit also had a bad coupling. All is well and I am happy.

Quality control issue then, some slag from the cutter....

Love the timber you used, Hack is just one of them that spalt well!
