Had a chrome vertex the click mechanism would not work, I destroyed it trying to get it apart to see if I could fix it. Next came a longwood in black ti that could not be taken apart to change the refill. Put leather under the jaws of the pliers but still scratched the finish. Turned the wood off one of the tubes, cut it down to fit and added a figured maple blank I got as a freebe with one of my orders. Turned out not to bad.
