This pen was intended for my PITH partener but didn't want to cooperate with me. It is a Jr. Retro with a blue mosaic blank. The first issue was the disappearing custom finial, while buffing it snapped off the waste section of blank and went flying across my shop, I found it a few minutes later and it was thankfully intact. The fatal blow was a blow out while drilling the blank. I was able to glue it back together but after turning it the crack was visible. I used an exacto knife and cut a Vee at the crack and filled it with CA but you can still see it in the right light, I was only able to photograph it with the flash on. I am happy with it but wouldn't feel right sending it off.

Comments and Critique welcome.

I agree with Roy on this one. Still a really nice pen. I have some of these blanks qued up for turning some day. Nice work on the finial, and finish.
