Great work with a novel idea !!! . I too would like to hear more about this technique, Please.

You must have had to work VERY quickly.

What did you use for the coloring agent ? . Looks like a powder of some kind.

I am wondering if it might be a good idea to mix the color with just the resin in 5 or so puddles and then add the hardener to each puddle, one at a time. . You could apply the epoxy in each puddle right after adding the hardener. . Seems this would give you more time to work.
