Here is how my Civil War pen turned out.

I've wanted to make an antique brass one,to go with the other ones I've made.I was given some nice wooden blanks from Steve ( NittanyLion ) and this one is a special one,as this larger piece was labled as one his Pops cut in the 50's.So it's possable that it was growing during the Civil War in PA.,which I think is pretty neat.

Thanks Steve!

So I thought it would be a good choice to match it with this kit.It has some nice color in the grain.

I just love these kits. They seem like such nice quality for the money, and I like the little booklet that they come with that explains the story behind the gun,and bullets.Makes it nice when giving as a gift!

The antique brass is my favorite.I'm glad tht Exotic blanks sells them now.

Thanks for lookin'!

Steve

You guys are going to have to stop working in Cahoots,
It can become too Confusing, and I am easily confused. Don't you agree Steve?
Love your Pen Steve.

Really great loooking pen Steve. Awasome pairing with the blank and kit plating. Outstanding fit and finish. What kind of finish did you use.

I did a CA finish on it.I'm really liking using the wedge-shaped cosmetic foams I buy at Target.Huge improvement,I can't believe how fast and smooth the coats go on.No more Bounty for me!

Thanks for the comments,
Steve
