Very nice pen, I really like the look of Amboyna Burl I have never tried to turn any and I dont think I have the skills to try it yet but WOW it looks great to me. Len

Has anybody ever shown a "bad" blank of Amboyna Burl? I did a search.

I recently got two blanks of this tuff in the mail as freebies. One looks to be mostly sapwood i guess(much lighter than the other) but has a dark end with lots of little "eyes" in it. The other piece os solid dark, but no eyes.. Just lots of swirls! I can't wait to take it for a spin!
