This one is by Harry Mathew a.k.a longbeard. We made a swap for a bottle stopper and Harry threw this in as a pleasant surprise for which I am very greatful. The pen is an Atrax but Harry didn't remember exactly what the wood was --- what ever it is it is lovely.

That is a very nice looking pen. The knot in the bottom looks like an eye! It's looking at me!!!!!!

it's a nice pen.

to me, i agree on the colors matching bocote, but for some reason, the grain reminds me of marblewood

I got that wood over a year ago at WC, but i'm with Nic (turned around), I think it is marblewood, just not 100% sure. It was a bowl blank and when i cut it down, it was as smooth as glass where i made the cuts and turned like a dream. Like to get some more of it.

I would definitely be turning the rest of that wood. It is just beautiful.
