You have to cut the size of the photo down. It also looks too blurred to see anything. Not the comments you want to hear but.

That looks really good, especially for just starting. Ebony always presents it's own challenges.

On the large pic you posted above, I might be seeing some radial sanding marks (sanding marks that go around the pen's circumference). I've found that stopping the lathe between grits and sanding front to back take care of those marks. It took me several pens to figure that one out. :)

Hi from another newbie.
The shape looks very pleasing however the photo is too blurred to see how good a finish you have.
It's a great hobby isn't it. Enjoy :)
