newbie tries his first post...

hi everyone this is my first post(other than my intro), i thought i'd show a few i recently made....
black acrylic followed by bocote, ziracote(may have mixed them two up), and rasperry acrylic...

all coments are welcome....

Welcome, and thanks for sharing. Those pens look great! I think maybe you did mix up the bocote and ziracote. I don't know what ziracote looks like, but the third one sure looks like bocote to me.

i have only recently started making these type on the mandrell, for years i just made them from a solid piece and drilled a 4mm hole to accept a bic refil, like these few...

They look great... good job. Cigar pen is always a winner and it sells well. The others are also nice...I guess they should be a great success among ladies...:wink:

Very nice. I also think you mixed up the 2 wood ones. I often take a very small piece of paper and write the type of wood on it and stick it in the tube. Sometimes I even leave it in there when turning. It's very helpful when turning muliple pens with woods that look similar.
