Here is a chrome sierra with red stag antler. It polished up better than any other antler that I have turned to date, there is no finish on the antler.

Those red stag are supposed to be nearly the same animal as many other deer, like the whitetail. But their antler has long been desired for it's beauty. It is used in knife handles and other things. Your pen is a beauty.

Frank,

I may be wrong, but I believe I heard that the red stag is genetically identical to our elk. They appear different due to evolving in a different habitat. If there is someone out there that knows more, please chime in.
