Mike, the site looks nice. There are at least two spelling errors. One word that should be from is form, and designer is misspelled. Other than those two lint-picking things, it looks good.

Man.....some people just won't let up and cut you no slack ! [:D]
Mike if William said only two words mispelled, consider it proof read.

One thing that was anoying, when I left your site, I had pop ups on my screen, some clients might not like this. I avoid these sites that draw attention to my computer.

Mike - I hope you're as serious as I was about wanting even nit-picking comments. Here goes. In your navigation, "Our Pen's" should not have an apostrophe. It's neither possessive nore a contraction. The way you have the two huisache pens set up it's impossible to determine which PayPal button belongs to which pen. Also, in the description, the word smooth is misspelled. Your antler cigar pen says 124kt gold...should be 24 kt. Lava Flow in Chrome "Its $25" IS a possessive and should have an apostrophe between the t and the s. Solid surface corian pen - Designer is misspelled. Also, "both" should be "each". "Enter supporting content here" shouldn't appear on the page (at the bottom.) On the "About Us" page, the last line, the proper word would be "enjoy" rather than "enjoyed." Also the opening line should start "My wife, Nicole, and I..." On the home page, Costum should be Custom. On the blanket chest page, can you really expect to pull this off? "we can sit down together" Also, "for and additional charge" should be "an".

I hope this helps--and good luck with the site!

The site looks good. There are a few errors in grammar, sentence structure, and punctuation. The free webhosting services are nice, in that they are free. However, they provide links to competitors at the top of each page. Potential customers could very easily buy elsewhere thanks to those great links. From a business standpoint, you would be wise to obtain different webhosting.

Tripod is notorious for pop ups for porno sites. If that's what you're using for hosting, you need to change immediately. If you're trying to market high end pens and potential customers are getting hit with pop ups, porno or not, they will look elsewhere. Plus, if there are pop ups, it is almost assured that tripod is sticking spyware on your computer.

Mike,
I would highly recommend that you go ahead and pay for a hosting package. Get rid of tripod as fast as you can. For goodness sakes don't send and e-mail out to anyone promoting your site!

Connie's two cents-- yep, needs some work, but these guys have given you good, constructive advice. My advice? 25 bucks is too cheap for that cigar pen from the firefighter gear! Don't know about the rest of the guys, but Mike gets $40-65 for his Cigars, depending on the material. And a glue up/time consumer like that??? $50 for certain! Never underestimate your time--it IS valuable!!!!

The photo's of the larger items are nice and clear but it is difficult to see a few of the pens. Example: I cannot even tell what the corian pens look like. The pop ups are unpleasant.

My biggest problem with your site is all the ads on the top, looks amateurish and reminds me of fly-by-nites. I have pop up blockers installed on all my computers, but I see others had a problem with them. Two perfect ways to drive away customers. More so than any misspelled words or poor grammar will.

There are other companies like this one that offer inexpensive web space http://ipower.com/
Find someplace esle to host your site, and you will be set to go.

I would agree with the majority of your replies. The pop-ups and the ads got to go!! Also, you might want to do a scan for spyware. Free scans are availible on the web, just do a search. You can email me if you ant to know what I use, it's pretty good (my kids are always picking up spyware). Other than that, the site looks really good. Good Luck!!

OK Already. I have taken down the web site. I had no idea that there would be as many pop ups as there was. I am sorry if I have caused harm to anybody who opened the link. I do appreciate all the constructive critics and advice. As for the “pro†that found the site “looks amateurish and reminds me of fly-by-nites†(and by the way its “nightsâ€) I am an amateur.

I said the ads on top look amateurish, not your site.

You want sales, you need at least to look professional. Why would anybody want to buy from an amateur?
