I've been doing woodworking for about 10 years now, but haven't ever jumped into the world of lathes. Well, I finally did, and I can certainly understand the attraction. Relatively speaking, instant gratification!

In picture order, these are the first pens I've made, all Slimlines.

Walnut, BLO/CA (#5)

Osage Orange, Lacquer finish (#3).

Walnut, BLO/CA (#4)

Walnut, Lacquer finish. (#2)

My daughter took the pics, Pen #1 was in my tankbag at the time. It's now in "the picture studio" along with #s 6 & 7.

Not bad for your first. As you'll probably see from this site, you can get as deep into it as you like! Sicne you've been wood working for a while, I'm sure you'll find more advanced techniques to intrigue you. Welcome to the addiction:biggrin:
