New pens

A yellow poplar burl(cap end was very touchy), a stabilized and dye green maple burl and a quilted sapelle with padauk center band.

The one with the Paduk CB reminds me of one I just finished and didn't like . I'll post a before and after pic .

I like them all Sam, especially the sapele. I love the smell of that stuff when you turn it. Do you have a dye on the sapele or is it an optical illusion?

Fred, no dye on the sapelle. Picture may be a little dark, photography is not my strongest suit. Got the sapelle from Ryan at Woodturningz.

Ken, got the poplar burl on ebay from Steves_woodshed.

A good set of pens. I love the grain flow of the top pen! I bet that top tube was a royal pain to keep it from disintergrating.
