When I was 10 years old an older gentleman from my church assisted me in a turning a small walnut bowl. For the last 20 years that bowl has been on my nightstand holding any number of trinkets.

Recently my wife encouraged me to go ahead and buy the lathe I have been wanting for 20 years. The following pictures are a few of my pens. It is certainly a learning process but I am having a ton of fun and meeting some really great people along the way.

Feedback is certainly welcomed and appreciated.

Welcome to the addiction, and to IAP. I like turning bowls also. I have been away from the shop for some months now, but hope to be back turning soon. BTW, nice pens.

Nice work and I like the photography, I am going to have to steal some of those ideas. I really like the JD photo.

Bazinga! Very nice pens! Welcome from Missouri... I really like the Jack Daniels pen. Twenty years of talent built up just waiting...it paid off. Hope to see some more.

Luke, Welcome from northern Virginia!

I still have bowls I made in my high school Industrial Arts class from 1970......my favorite class! And the teacher for whom I held and still hold the most respect!

Great job on the pens

Thanks everyone for the kind words!
I just wrapped up these two pens today.

Marblewood that I pulled from the junk pile at the local Woodcraft
