I have been working on making closed end pens for a bit now and I have a few under my belt. This last weekend I made my first one in wood rather than the usual Pearls and MonoSwirls from Eugene (that I am addicted to!). I think it turned out okay and I am rewarding myself by adding it to my personal stash of Fountain Pens for work.
The body is Afzelia burl with contrasting bits in 5000 year old Bog Oak. I added a Bock nib as well. I hope you like it, the photos are quickies I took at my desk, nothing fancy.
The new Closed End pen weighs 34g vs. 70g for a Full Statesman FP which is pretty close in size.
