New one for tonight

Heart and sapwood African Blackwood on a full sized statesman kit. Special, emergency request for a co-worker whose brother is graduating college this weekend.

I love African Blackwood. Most of my customers spend some time oooohing and aaahing over these pens.

Very nice. Looks a lot like the Cocobolo one I made a while back. The only problem is getting the top and bottom to match once the cap comes off. Usually take two or three tries.

Chris - start it 180 degrees out and it should like up correctly.

BTW - THANKS for the great comments! Michael, I was on a big heart/sap kick a while ago and have some great blanks! The customer saw another heart/sap ABW pen that I did, and said he like that look and wanted approximately a 50/50 split, which I just happened to have! I still have a few more blanks, if you need one.

A few coats of CA, followed by Rennaissance Wax and some TSW on top. It's actually shinier than it looks in the pictures. I tried buffing with white diamond this time after applying the CA, and it looked really nice.

Hello long time no talk. Great looking Pen I am working on a Holly/Macasar Ebony right now That I can only hope looks that good. Going to cut the wood on JAsons Band saw he just does not know it yet[}][] Looks Great.
