I am a new member who has been following this web site for a while. Here are a couple of pens that I have made. The first one is buckeye burl with lapis to fill the voids. The other is big leaf maple with abalone shell to fill the voids. This is also my first attempt at scanning the pens. I hope to eventually use my digital camera to create higher quality pictures. How do I create a file of pictures to post on the photo forum? Kirk[8D]

Welcome to the forum!
I currently take digital photos but never seem to get them to turn out half way decent. I'm working on getting flat bed scanner to scan in my pens, I think that you get better pics of them that way. Just my .02 cents worth.

Youre pens are beautiful by the way.

The inlay abalone comes from Craft Supplies. http://www.woodturnerscatalog.com/cgi-bin/shopper?search=action&keywords=crushed-stone
The lapis stone was saved shavings from the TruStone that Craft Supplies sells. http://www.woodturnerscatalog.com/cgi-bin/shopper?search=action&keywords=tru-stone-blank
