I'm not turning the whole body, just the 'binde' that goes on the outside of the Pelikan pen. These pens usually have a green striped outer covering on the barrel - it's kind of like a sleeve. I cut that off and prepare a new sleeve that I slide into place and adhere to the barrel. Lots of people love Pelikan pens' nibs and filling methods but don't like the green barrel. I personalize them for folks (or for myself) when I have a little extra time. People seem to like them.
I'm looking forward to trying out some of your materials in this application!
