Default New fountain pen

I made this one last night from a Rockler Kit. The blank was a piece of scrap maple. I really like the way this maple turned out.

I am having trouble with this. There was an ink cartridge and a pump, both won't fit inside the pen. Not sure how to assemble.

Should I use the pump draw the ink out of the ink cartridge before the pen is assembled?

No. It is made to use one or the other. The cartridge, which is a standard international size, is a disposable ink reservoir. You buy them with your choice of ink in it. The pump is so you can use bottled ink, in any colour you like.

Here is a link to Brian Goullet’s site. There is a ton of fountain pen information.

Thanks. The instructions did not spell that out.
