Finaly got around to trying the dip method of finishing pens..I did do a couple of quick coats of med ca first to seal the grain, Then I dipped them in Magna Shield Super Gloss (twice) after it dried buffed with white diamond..

Thanks for the tutorial on dipping, I think this is a great finish and the gloss cant be beat. Let me know what you think

Nice pens and finish, the green blank looks deep and mysterious. Not familiar with Magna Shield, but if it's a lacquer, it likes to cure for a week or so before buffing out, for maximum gloss and durability.
