Morning,
Finished (So I thought) this pen yesterday. It is zebrawood crosscut (from Big Rob) Very difficult to turn. Want to chip out bad. It took about 2 hours to turn it down. I mixed my bushings up and will have to return the top. The other cigar is Mesquite with some bark left on it. Thanks for looking.

That is why I avoid cross-cuts. The fuss, bother and high risk of total failure and waste of time, to me, isn't worth it. Bias cuts do better. You stuck in there and did well. Two hours isn't bad for something you really want to do well. My latest antler Baron took about that long to turn. Ask Eagle about his wart hog tusk pens.

David,
I'm impressed that you even kept going on the cross cut zebra! I've had a half turned piece sitting somewhere on my bench for over a year now! Good job.
