Navigator and Churchill

Well, had problems with both but they turned out ok. On the Rosewood Navigator, I blew out the end so I had to shorten the top almost a 1/4 inch. Had trouble with the finish, but I am getting there. Then I did the Churchill, was going to be for my step dad. I had used this Abalone blank before on a perfume thing and it looked killer. But for some reason, there is no dark left in this one and you can see the tube. I did not think it was that transparent, at least the last blank was not. So it might stick around for a present for my mom or wife instead. I really like the Churchill kit, feels good in the hand and goes together nice. Forgive pictures, I asked for that light kit from Harbor Freight for fathers day so hopefully they will get better. Comments are appreciated, but be gentle.
