Received a small chunk of wood from woodwizzard. He believes this is Narra burl.

Whatever it is, I sure like it.

Nice work...nice wood...nice components. BTW, I believe the burl of the Narra tree is called Amboyna. One tree, two names!

I'm doing more research on the complexities but yes. There are actually many different trees in Asia in the broad family using these names.

This pen doesn't look to me like the typical ambonya we see, but it's all in the family. :).
