My second of two Christmas gifts . I dug this out of a box of blanks , it wasn't labeled . I have no idea what kind of wood this is . I matched it up with a Chrome Baron . Best photos I can get right now .

Merry Christmas everybody !

Thanks Steve ! It would be sweeter if I knew how to put those feathers in it . LOL

I really need to learn how to line up the grain on these double barrel kits . I may have to search the library .

Thanks for the comments ! :)

Chuck, I'd go with Mahogany or possibly Jatoba, if it was hard and left a fuzzy finished cut, Jatoba, if it left a better finished cut Mahogany would be my guess, but it sure is a nice looking pen.

Thanks guys . Ken , the wood cut down very smooth with the skew . No fuzziness at all . I have some Sapele in the shop , SOMEWHERE . I'll get out there after a bit , and compare . The bare wood had almost a grayish brown color to it . I gave it a coat of BLO , and brought out the brown . Thanks for the comments !
