Pen #37, for a friend who gave me the wood. Mystery Brazilian wood with some minor Black Walnut accents. I was hoping for more dramatic contrast between the two woods, but I was pleased with the end result.

The mystery wood came in on a pallet of hardwood flooring from Brazil. But not part of the flooring wood...it was a pallet runner! My friend makes cutting boards and had a few cutoffs leftover.

As always, comments and critiques welcome.

Very well done pen. As you say the wood does not pop. It does have a very clean grain so it has good interest. You picked up some nice interest with the cap by adding the inlays.
